As usual, I'm off into an area I know nothing about.

I'm looking for the wherewithall to make small LaB6 parts. Can anybody
steer me in the right direction? One of the references I found said that
one of the above was required. As a matter of fact, can anybody suggest
where I can find some sort of an "this is all you _really_ need to know"
kind of a book on the subject? Some of the manufacturers of different kinds
of sophisticated equipment generate such books frequently, but I don't know
who they are yet.

I've been designing and building vacuum equipment for years, and have lots
of gear lying around, is it something I could cobble together out of odd
bits? I only need to make a small number of small parts for r&d/proof of
concept stuff, so rude and crude is fine.

I have a modest budget and/or stuff to trade.

Thanks

Rick
