Position Available: Post Doctoral Associate. New post doctoral position at the University of Minnesota working with interdisciplinary team. Suitable candidates will have a PhD in Electrical Engineering, although candidates with a PhD in Physics, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related disciplines with the appropriate research backgrounds are also encouraged to apply. The ideal candidate should demonstrate outstanding potential for interdisciplinary quantitative research. This is a 2 year position, available immediately
The research project involves the fabrication of nonplanar nanoscale Schottky barrier FETs using both electrostatically localized and randomly deposited cubic single crystal silicon nanoparticles. Applicant must be very familiar with MOS device physics and basic MOS processing. Helpful experience would include the fabrication of deep submicron FETs, nonplanar device structures, e-beam lithography, chemical mechanical polishing, Schottky barrier formation, and semiconductor device modeling. The University of Minnesota is extremely strong in nanoparticle research. The successful candidate will have excellent opportunities to collaborate with faculty in several departments working on nanoparticles devices.
