Abstract Submission
Call for Abstracts

The MTL Annual Research Conference (MARC 2005) will be held in Waterville Valley, NH on January 26-27, 2005. The objectives of MARC are to provide an MTL-wide forum for the presentation of the research achievements of the past year and to promote interaction between MTL students, faculty, and industry partners.

Research abstracts are solicited in subjects including but not limited to:

  • Integrated Circuits and Systems
  • MEMS
  • Emerging Devices
  • Optoelectronics
  • Nanotechnology
Presentation Format: Poster Session and Published Proceedings

The accepted research abstracts will be published in the MARC 2005 Digest of Research Abstracts and made available to MTL affiliates and industry sponsors.  In addition, the author(s) of each accepted research abstract shall prepare a poster describing their research in greater detail. The poster session at the conference will be preceded by a series of one-minute presentations in which the author(s) shall summarize the highlights of their research and the key points of their poster.

Submissions Procedure

Research abstracts shall use the format provided in the abstract template and shall be uploaded to the submission site in MS Word format.  The total number of pages is not to exceed one printed page. Each abstract is also limited to a maximum of two figures. All formatting and styles used in the abstract templated provided must be retained. The submission site will close at 5 pm on November 29 and abstracts not submitted by this hard deadline will not be accepted.  Authors of accepted abstracts will receive feedback from the review committee and shall revise and resubmit the abstract in camera-ready form by 5 pm on December 13.

November 29: Hard deadline for submission of research abstracts at 5 PM.
December 6: Notification of acceptance and reviewer feedback.
December 13: Hard deadline for submission of revised camera-ready abstract.
