Abstract Submission Guidelines
Deadlines
Abstracts must be submitted to the session chair no later than 5 PM on December 6, 2005. Submission window of opportunity opens on November 16.
Authors will receive feedback from the review committee and shall revise and resubmit the abstract in camera-ready form to the publications chair no later than 5 PM on December 12, 2005. If you have any questions about formatting, please ask the Publications Chair.
NOTE: Abstracts that do not arrive by the deadlines will not appear in the technical program due to printing deadlines.
Formatting
Abstracts shall use the format provided in the official MARC ’06 abstract template and shall be in MS Word format with a file name consisting of the title number (e.g. “1.03.doc” would be the third abstract in session 1). See “Session Titles” tab on the MARC ’06 website for title number. The total number of pages is not to exceed one (1) printed page. Each abstract also is to be limited to a maximum of two (2) figures. All formatting and styles used in the official MARC ’06 abstract template must be retained.
The titles and authors must be formatted to exactly match the session listing on the MARC ’06 website. Pay careful attention to capitalization of words in title and the format for names (e.g. A.J. Smith, T.V. Homes, J.C. Thomas). See “Session Titles” tab. If a correction needs to be made to the online listing, e-mail the publications chair immediately (mara@mit.edu).
