If you elect to have your poster printed by MTL using the EECS plotter, you can e-mail your poster to . All posters must be submitted by this date, or they will not be printed by MTL! If you choose to have your poster printed elsewhere, please drop it off in 39-313 by January 22, 2008.
When your poster has been printed, an e-mail will be sent to you. You can stop by 39-313 to review your poster during office hours (TBD) or by prior appointment.
Posters that will be printed by MTL using the EECS plotter should be formatted to no wider than 41-inches-wide. If you are formatting your poster to be printed elsewhere, your poster can be no larger than 48-inches-by-48-inches wide, preferably using most of that space.
The structure supporting each poster will be a 4-foot-by-8-foot board standing on top of thin classroom tables -- two different posters will be placed on each board. Note that during the process of attaching the poster to the board, the boards may be taken off the table and placed on a flat surface.
We recommend that the posters be in PPT format in order to allow the slides to be plotted onto a single sheet. By doing so, the presentation can be easily transported as a single rolled-up sheet, is easy to setup, and can be printed and distributed on standard letter-size sheets (8.5-inches-by-11-inches).
Posters can also be plotted at FedEx Kinko's or MIT CopyTech if you are unable to make the submission deadline, but you must arrange payment on your own.

Each poster will be assigned a specific location in one of the meeting rooms of the Waterville Valley Conference Center. A map will be available when you arrive at the conference center showing the location for your poster, and a note with your poster title will be posted at the location that you have been assigned.
As an incentive to present your work eloquently to a wide audience of your own peers, faculty, and industry representatives, awards will be given to the best oral presentations. They will be evaluated by the industry attendees at MARC2008. Awards will be presented at the closing of MARC2008 on Wednesday, January 30, 2008. The winners will be asked to repeat their presentation at the Microsystems Industrial Group (MIG) board meeting.
The Microsoft Powerpoint (PPT) slide must be e-mailed to the session chair no later than 5:00 PM on January 16, 2008.
NOTE: PPT slide(s) that do not arrive by the deadline will not appear in the technical program.
PPT slides shall use the format provided in the PPT template and shall be in PPT format with a file name consisting of the title number (e.g. “1.03.doc” would be the third abstract in session 1). See “Session Titles” tab on the MARC ’08 website for title number. The total number of slides is not to exceed one (1) slide. Each PPT presentation is also limited to a total of 90 seconds.
The titles and authors must be formatted to exactly match the session listing on the MARC ’08 website. Pay careful attention to capitalization of words in title and the format for names (e.g. A.J. Smith, T.V. Homes, J.C. Thomas). See “Session Titles” tab. If a correction needs to be made to the online listing, e-mail the publications chair.
