The MIT Microsystems Technology Laboratories Workshop on “Next Generation Medical Electronic Systems” is a forum for experts from academia, the semiconductor and medical device industry, the medical profession and DoD to exchange technical ideas, explore collaboration opportunities and define directions related to health care systems. The two day event will focus on a broad range of next generation medical systems including wearable monitoring devices, portable systems, and implantable electronics.

The workshop will feature presentations given by leading experts in the medical electronics field covering state-of-the-art technology as well as important emerging trends. Topics to be covered include ultra-low-power device and system design, system requirements and specifications, emerging applications, market opportunities, and component technologies.
