Alice Wu, Director of Hon Hai Precision Industry Co., Ltd (Foxconn), serves at Foxconn's Boston Technology Office, an extended office of the corporate Global Research Division. The office is responsible for: a) collaborating with local universities of the Boston area on advance technology research and sourcing, and b) talent recruitment.
Alice has been with Foxconn for 8.5 years (5 years working in China). Prior to joining Foxconn's Boston Technology Office in 2009, she served as Director in various capacities: Sales, Account Management, Factory Operation Management and Procurement Management.
Prior to joining Foxconn, Alice was a Program Manager on Server/Storage
Product Delivery at Gateway Inc. Alice began her career at Digital Equipment
Corporation and spent 14 years, including 4 years in France, with Digital. She
earned the title of Principal SW Engineer in software development and later
became the Program Manager for Product Delivery in the Notebook R&D team.
Alice has a BS in Computer Information System from Bentley College and
studied Nutrition in Chinese Culture University in Taiwan.
Alice has 26 years of industry experience in SW and HW R&D. Specifically,
she has focused on managing new product (SW and HW) design and
development, as well as the manufacturing operation of new products. With
her industry expertise, she enjoys focusing on bridging the gap between
research and real-world technology implementation.
