If This Startup Has Its Way, Your Next TV Won't Be An LCD

Kateeva, Inc., is a Silicon Valley startup founded in 2008 by MTL alums Conor Madigan, Jianglong (Gerry) Chen, Valerie (Leblanc) Gassend, together with Profs. Vladimir Bulovic and Martin Schmidt.  Growing out of the long-term partnership with then MIG-member-company Hewlett Packard, today's Kateeva "aims to radically reduce the cost of making flexible and large-scale OLEDs. [They've] pioneered a new inkjet printing manufacturing equipment solution that will enable such OLEDs to be produced over large areas and in high volume – with longer lifetimes, higher yields and lower costs.
