What do we do?

MEMS Salon is a student-run journal club - or simply put, a group of people who get together to talk about MEMS and NEMS!  We meet bi-weekly.

Here's our schedule for  Summer 2006.

When:  Thursdays 12 to 1 pm
     Where:  Adler room (39-327)
     What to do:

As a host, you will need to select 2-3 papers (at most 3 conference papers or 2 journal  papers) related to a topic of your interests and email the group (mems-salon@mtl.mit.edu) with the topic and articles, ideally, way before the meeting!   ...Wait!  At the end of the meeting, you can  either give your grocery receipt to Valerie, or if convenient, you can hand it directly to Anne (39-517) for reimbursement!
If you're not the host, just come by, and hey, bring your lunch!  Snacks and drinks are provided, so it's all relaxed.    Raise questions and give your opinions.  We are all there to find out what we don't know... and what's cool about micro and nano!
How to join:  Simply email Valerie at vleblanc@mit.edu

Acknowledgement: We'd like to acknowledge Marty and Anne  for their support and generous sponsorship (for the snacks!).

Who are we?

We're mostly graduate students and postdocs from MIT but anybody is welcome (students from other universities, visiting professors...).
