On April 24th, 2012, MIT’s Microsystems Technology Laboratories (MIT) hosted the kick-off meeting of the MIT/MTL GaN Energy Initiative. With more than 60 registered participants, the meeting was a tremendous success due to the collaborative efforts from our industrial members, MIT faculty, staff, and students.  The conference covered the various research themes of the GaN Energy Initiative , including GaN Transistor Technology, GaN Nanowires for solid state lighting, GaN Device Reliability, Thermal issues of GaN technology, as well as circuit and system level demonstrators.
