The MIT Medical Electronic Device Realization CenterWorkshop on “Next-Generation Medical Electronic Systems” is a forum for experts from academia, the semiconductor and medical device industry, and the medical profession to exchange technical ideas, explore collaboration opportunities and define directions related to health care systems. The two day event will focus on a broad range of next generation medical systems including wearable monitoring devices, medical communication systems, point-of-use instruments, medical imaging, and biomedical signal processing.

The workshop will feature presentations given by leading experts in the medical electronics field covering state-of-the-art technology as well as important emerging trends. Topics to be covered include ultra-low-power device and system design, system requirements and specifications, emerging applications, market opportunities, and component technologies.
