Kateeva develops high precision, automated manufacturing equipment for the electronics industry. Roughly 150 million smart phones have been manufactured to date utilizing Kateeva’s products for the mass production of organic light emitting diode (OLED) screens. This talk explores Kateeva’s challenges and successes in building a high impact hardware company in a world that increasingly views software companies as safer, more attractive investments.
Conor co-founded Kateeva in 2008. In 2016, Conor was named “Inventor of the Year” by the Silicon Valley Intellectual Property Law Association. In 2010, he was chosen for the prestigious Technology Review TR35 list. He has a B.S. from Princeton and a Ph.D. from MIT, both in Electrical Engineering.
