Hi,
  I understand that there is some scuttlebutt that the "the plug has  
been pulled on" CORAL, the lab management software that MIT & Stanford  
developed jointly.
  I'm not sure what Stanford's plans are, but MIT is happily running &  
will continue to run CORAL in our main physical science shared  
facilities (for life science labs, there may be more suitable software  
out there).
I hope this puts a few minds at ease.
