Hi Bernhard,
I had a similar issue with the nxdx10i pumps. These units are a little tricky to service as there is a elaborate procedure to remove the bearings from these pumps which involves thermal contraction or expansion to create clearance to remove the bearing one could use a oven to heat the pumps or possibly use liquid nitrogen to cool the metal parts. At the time we bought he pump repair kit Edwards were selling bearing kits for these pumps the first thing I would suggest is check if you can still buy the bearing kits for these pumps. If yes I will be on a position to share more information with you for repairing these pumps. These pumps are good as they have inverter drives for the 3 phase induction/bldc motors however I think the bearing design for these motors is a bit delicate if these pumps are abused.
If needed I will be able to mail you the images I had taken to disassemble the pump.

Warm Regards

Subject: [labnetwork] Edwards nXDS6i pump

⚠ Caution: External sender

Hello,

we have an Edwards nXDS6i pump in our laboratory. The pump is broken and vibrates excessively. As the cost of maintaining the pump by the company is very expensive, we decided to open it and fix it ourselves. However, we can't remove the screw on the pump's back to access the motor compartment. Does anyone know how to remove this screw?

Best,
