[labnetwork] Shared Chiller [for equipment cooling] Issues

Kamal, we use flow limiters ("circuit setters" in the US) in the *return* line of each shared instrument, when they are installed in parallel on one cooling loop. Each flow limiter set to the maximum flow required by the single tool ahead of it. That way, as other tools intermittently increase their coolant flow, they are not able to "starve" other equipment, by virtue of the flow limiter. In order for this scheme to work, the chiller has to be able to supply the total of the maximum flow required of all its commected tools, *at the differential pressure required by the the tool with the highest required differential*. If you chiller can't meet this requirement, you need a larger chiller.

Good luck!

Though chiller total cooling capacity is able to provide flow/pressure but in an shared equipment scenario, could there be issues. Suddenly some equipment, in use, trips, because of low flow of cooling water probably.
